Tour overview

On this full-day visit, you may have the opportunity to experience the highlights of Kazbegi – a area in northeastern Georgia known for its mountains, rivers and cultural monuments.

After departing Tbilisi, you will be able to take in views of Georgia’s lush landscapes during the drive to the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains.

On the way you’ll visit Zhinvali Dam and Ananuri Fortress – a well-preserved castle complex built on the banks of the Aragvi Stream.

After  you’ll continue the trip to Gudauri, where you’ll have the option to visit the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument as well as the local ski resort.

Once in Stepantsminda, your guide will rent a 4WD vehicle for your journey up Mount Kazbegi to visit the famous 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church.

On the way back to Tbilisi you will stop at a family restaurant where you’ll taste the delicious Georgian food and especially Khinkali. By the way the following are is considered as a homeland of famous Georgian food – Khinkali.
